Handsome clear coppery red beer with plenty of foam in the tumbler. Wonderful aroma of dark fruit. Sudsy and lush mouthfeel. Quite malty and just the right sweetness. The yeasty flavors are not overly powerful but it has the usual dry finish. Flavors of a mix of date, raisins, even persimmon, but quite elegant. Long nose of cherry and cola. This is actually among the best beers in the Dubbel style I have had, Belgian or American. The other Pinnacle beer I tried was a winner too. I would recommend this brewery. From the 16 oz can purchased at Cellars in far northeast Phoenix.
