Ise Kadoya Scotch Ale

Pours a cloudy orange hued brown with a thick, frothy creme head that doesn't look it is going to be calming down anytime this year. Nose is cherry, wood, and lots of malts. Flavor is kind of an earthy tangy with wood tones. Seems a tad funky. I almost want to say lambic-ish, but of course not precisely that. Earthy, definitely. Brings good characteristics of the style, but slightly thinner than you might expect from some of the heavier hitters. It still works nicely though. Feel has a good carbonation. Liquid is thick enough. Not too shabby. Could be a bit beefier, but it doesn't suck.
