Pours a medium, bright, clear yellow with a light, lacey head of foam. Aroma is heavily grapefruit. Taste follows, being highly citrus -- grapefruit, some orange, all light and clean. This is a more bitter West Coast IPA than in my experience, though pleasant. This is a very drinkable West Coast and leaves one with a good feeling. Hail to the King.

A: The beer is cores amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down and left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit are present in the nose along with notes of pear.
T: The taste has flavors of pine and grapefruit/orange citrus with hints of candy and pear. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This West Coast IPA combines both a complex variety of aromas and flavors with bitterness.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very slightly hazy, medium coppery amber with a thin, patchy head that persisted a film with light lacing. Aroma of biscuit and lightly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, toffee, vague citrus rinds. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus and lightly dank hops, a touch of caramel, grapefruit, a touch of pine. Good, lightly piney and citrus rind bitter finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. This had a base malt that was closer to an English bitter than a domestic IPA, reminiscent of the early days of craft beer with a heavy influence of English styles. The alpha bitterness is solid IPA and a quite satisfactory IPA finish. Not getting a high level of dankness, although there are some earthy dank notes here. Not what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed this, probably because I love malty flavors and this one hit that spot as well as being a bit nostalgic. Old fashioned and satisfying. Needs a bit more head, though.

From an undated can, pours an ugly, murky brown. This is supposed to be an IPA, but it smells and looks like a bad Scotch ale. Zero hops, overly sweet malt. This is a garbage beer. I took one sip and poured it out. Last time I bought a Beer Zombies IPA, I had the same experience, and vowed never to buy their beer again. Sadly, I tried this one. One sip, and four cans poured down the drain. Never again, for sure this time.
