Picked this up at Aloha Liquors in Carson City, the place with all the criminal justice reforms that would make the public puke if they knew about it.

Pours a dark red. Has a light pink head about 2/5" deep. Some aforementioned (in other revew) in between liquid and solid (I forgot what that word is). Looks heavily fruited as opposed to barley/hops. The aroma had a nip of alcohol. I can pull some strawberry out of the nose.

The taste imparts a fruit bowl and added sugar. Has an awkward sting that I presume is the alcohol. I can't really speak to traditional ingredients of beer (hops/barley/yeast) because you can't really taste anything like that. Its just a boozie slushie. And not even that good of one. With all the added sugar/fruit, you'd think this would have done a better job covering up the alcohol. Weird so many dipas can handle 8% no problem, and then with all that potential cover up sugar job here, it can't mask it.

I paid like $7 for a can of this I think. Not worth it. Beer Zombies is hit or miss, seems to be more misses than hits though.

I don't see a date listed anywhere on the can.

Appearance: The beer is completely opaque and beige-orange in color. It has a lot of suspended solids in the glass that looks like white pulp. Although the beer is opaque the solids are visible near the edge of the glass. There are some thicker chunks floating at the surface which look a bit stringy, about the size of a finger nail. There is a minimal head and it dissipates fast. It's not a very good looking beer but the color is nice.

Aroma: It smells like tang with a touch of urea.

Taste: Up front there is a tartness that hits the tongue, then this sweet tasting sugary fruit flavor sharply followed by this odd dusty note like when you pick up a book from a shelf and dust gets into your nose and mouth. The sugary fruit flavor tastes a bit like raspberries and cream. There is a bit of a fruity liqueur flavor like triple sec. The flavor starts out slightly tart on the tongue then becomes sweet in the middle. There are notes of under-ripe pineapple in the middle. It has a lot of flavor but it also feels overly sweet. Slightly grassy aftertaste

Mouthfeel: It is smooth and full bodied. The can states "8% ALC/VOL" and the beer does an outstanding job of hiding the alcohol. It is a very, very sweet tasting beer.

Overall: The can states that this is a "HWIP STYLE FRUITED SOUR ALE BREWED WITH STRAWBERRY, ORANGE, BANANA, FLUFF, VANILLA & LACTOSE." There is a generic fruit flavor to the beer but it doesn't taste like any of the advertised flavors specifically. It does have a bit of a raspberry character which could be from a mixture of other ingredients. It is a sweet beer that tastes good but it looks really bad in the glass. Even if you ran this beer through a basic wire mesh you would pick up chunks. If you like sweet beers with a fruity background and don't mind a lot of pulp then it might be worth giving it a try. I wouldn't generally recommend it and it's not something I would buy again.
