A - Poured a black color with a tan head that leaves some lacing behind
S - Is of roasted malt that give of coffee scents
T - Follows the nose with roasted malt and coffee but not as strong or good
M - This beer has a thin watery body with medium carbonation to it
D - I liked this beer but the mouthfeel really hurt it and if it was a little stronger with the flavor this would b an excellent beer but it's still worth a try

I had already eaten and was looking for desert. This beer sounded like a good way to finish up my visit.
Served in standard pint, the beer is black with ruby highlights. It has a nice tan head.
Aroma is of roasted malts, brown sugar and something that smells like a dirty tap line.
Unfortunately the funk carries over to the taste and almost overwhelms the base beer. There are some heavily roasted malts, caramelized sugars and a hint of soy sauce. The beer improves slightly as it warms.
The beer is over carbonated with a slightly thin mouth.
This is kind of a miss. Not sure if its the recipe or an old beer or a dirty tap.

Big tan head on a dark brownish-black brew that has a pleasant glow if you hold it up to the light. (Strangely I've never seen a head on it when I get it on tap at the brewery)
Mouthfeel is heavily carbonated, more along the lines of Guiness Extra Stout than the creamy draught stouts.
The aroma is rich and malty with a tinge of espresso. The flavor is different. Some toasty notes as one would expect from a stout but there's also a tanginess (almost sour) that seems a bit out of place. It does remind me some of Bridgeport Blackstrap Stout but this stout doesn't have quite the bitterness that the Bridgeport has to match the tangy notes.
Overall though, this is a very drinkable dry stout and one of the best of Bricktown Brewery's offerings.

This review is from a sampler, from which I took notes in 2001 notes. It's probably the best beer I found in my visit here. Suitably dark, with a thin roasty character. Seems to have been left to age a little, as its sweetness was turning to dry. Despite its dryness, I picked up a creamy oatmeal thread.

Was served in a pint glass. Was a dark dark red, almost black. Would have had a tan head except it was poured out to make more room for beer. Common practice around these parts as most people around here think head is bad. Smelled of roasted malts and chocolate. Also some dark sweet fruit. Tasted rich with ripe fruit up front followed immediately by smooth roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Was a little rough going down. Seemed a little heavy on carbonation. Not too bad though. I had two of these while I was there, so it couldn't be low drinkability. Fairly easy to drink, all around not a bad brew, especially given the brewing laws in Oklahoma.
