Darkhouse is brown, with a ruby glow. Head is about average in size with a mild creaminess. Aroma is fairly weak, with just a bit of brown ale sweetness. Taste has a light roasty sweetness, joined by more hop flavor than desired for the style. The hop choice here makes the beer taste "rough". A touch of caramel is noted in the finish. This is thin and watery, I'm beginning to think the 3.2 ABW rule is true.

Reviewed from 2001 notes. Well, they describe it as "medium," and so it is. This is a pleasant session beer, with a nice brown body, medium finish, but not a lot more. But that's no sin in itself, and there's room for improvement. Give it a try.
