Sitting in the brewery reviewing on a business trip.
Initial aroma is lightly hoppy but after a while it's just a little caramel malt. Lagered and clean but a little lacking in aroma overall. Just doesn't smell like much.
Deep amber with a smallish but persistant head that leaves some lacing. Pretty right on for the style.
Flavor is nicely malty but mostly I get caramel malt and not the expected vienna flavor. Hop bitterness is apparent but not high. Very light hop flavor on the back end.
Light and refreshing and good carbonation level. Pretty lively mouthfeel.
O.K. so I'm trapped in a 3.2% max alcohol state. Unlike what my hotel serves (watered down Bud...really!) this is a pleasant surprise. It has some good malt flavor and technical brewing merit. Worldbeater, no. Drinkable and enjoyable, oh yeah.
Late Edit: I found out that the 3.2% law is dead. But my hotel still only sells Miller and Bud...
