This produces about an inch thick light tan head that dissipates qickly into fine lacing. The body is a dark caramel color and is quite hazy, which this brewery prides itself on unfiltered and non pasteurized beer.
I detect malty sassafras and herbal hops aromas.
This tastes herbal and slightly bitter. Midway through the sip there is a caramel like sweetness.
Rittertrunk feels a little coarse and is slightly warming to the palate.
