On tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy straw color with white head. Aroma has a young beer character, quite yeasty but still fresh. Taste starts slightly sweet and malty, a bit of yeast character in the middle and finish is slightly hoppy and bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Not your regular pils but overall it's a decent beer.

0.5L mug poured from fass. First visit to Der Vogelbrau in Karlsruhe. A detectable corn aroma at first. Thirst quenching. Mass quantity beer - fortunatley they also serve it in 1 liter "Bayern-Masse" mug! Opaque mellow gold color with a pleasant light white head. Modest carbonation allows for large gulps in their fun Biergarten. I'm not a huge Pils fan but this beer clearly makes sense right here right now in Karlsruhe.

Herbal taste, quite dry, very bitter.
A good grassy bitterness, long, full of hop.
Good pils.
Light body.
Great drinkability, dry aftertaste.
