Dropped into a local pub in Wertheimer, where they had a very nice selection of beer from Distelhauser. Including this lovely beer.
The beer pours a copper amber color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose this beer comes across as rich and malty, with brown sugar, cookie dough and light vanilla. Flavor profile replicates the nose in this malt forward bock. Yet the beer isn't excessively sweet and there's no drop off in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a long, clean finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, and drinkability is terrific.
Excellent Bock beer. Impressive.
