On tap at a pub in Wertheim, this beer pours a lovely golden amber color with exceptional head retention and lacing. The nose in this beer is complex, with light sweet malt, pepper, and a hint of lavender. On the palate this is fricken delicious. The flavor profile replicates the nose, with some nice bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is where this beer really shines. The beer is medium bodied, but is soft and full on the palate as well. The finish is very long and clean. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, and drinkability is outstanding.

Excellent beer. Easily the best kellerbier I've ever tasted. Really well done!

A:
Pours a lightly hazed gold
with a tight, creamy, white head. Decent retention; wavy rings of lacing. (4)

S:
Toasted cereals and a little peppery. (3.5)

T:
Inoffensive malt character with a hint of hops. (3.75)

M:
Light body with active carbonation and a crisp feel/finish. (4)

O:
A good kellerbier.
It is not too any one particular way. Good looking. The flavor and nose sport minerals, pepper, a suggestion of citrus and toasty malts. It is clean and drinkable. I could see this one really popping more a bit fresher but it more than served its purpose as far as I'm concerned.
I would not turn it down if offered. (3.75)

Pours murky, gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is cracker, , grain, and doughy wheat. Medium bodied, sweet, with high carbonation. Makes for a tasty German lager. I will get this again.

From the one liter bottle with an expiration date of 10/31/17. Sampled on September 7, 2017.

It pours olive-yellow underneath a lingering white foamy head the eventually fades to a ring. Decent clarity.

The aroma expresses itself with toasted biscuit, white bread, sweetness, and a grassy hop character.

Light to medium, yet smooth body.

The taste brings out the same bready and grassy character as the nose suggests but it does not overwhelm. It is clean, crisp, and semi-dry ion the finish but it does not blow me away. Yet, I found it fairly refreshing but not something I'll jump on a secfond time.

L: Yellow orange in color, slightly hazy, originally poured a nice head though it disappears.
S: Bread, yeast, light floral/peppery hop presence
T: Very grainy, bready. Not sweet. Touch of bitterness. Well rounded
F: Light, drinkable. Quite high carbonation, but still smooth. Fuller mouthfeel than a standard lager
O: I drank this very quickly. Goes back easy as hell, flavors are good and well rounded. Very solid choice. Could use a touch more sweetness though IMO, missed that honey granola sweetness common with German lagers.

From the bottle, it pours a hazy amber with a moderate head, reducing to a ring with a thin layer over the beer. Primarily bread and yeast in the nose. The mouth gets some malt and yeast. Enjoyable!

Pours cloudy straw color with 2 finger tall bubbly white head, decreasing slowly. Nice lager smell, but I can't say nothin more about it. Maybe bread and lemon zest, sunflower oil... It tastes like lager with a good portion of bitterness and bready finish. Full-bodied with perfect carbonation.

Pours cloudy golden with pretty nice and dense white head, good retention.
Smell - fresh, malts, yeasts, dough, gray bread.
Taste - malty, yeasty, green fruits, bready. Medium body, good carbonation.
Actually excellent keller as it has to be.
