Howzit Brewing

We spend part time of the year on Oahu. I have been wanting to try for the past couple of years. My son was getting married and a few of the wedding party stopped for a beer before heading to pre-wedding dinner. Good beer and excellent service. Loved their dark lager.

My son and I had a BA Stout can which we enjoyed after his honeymoon. Worth checking out.

There are many breweries in Honolulu but this place has some of the best beer and should be at the top of any beer traveler's list for that reason. Lagers are a specialty. 15k gallon output, a third of which is sent out to wholesale accounts.
Housed in a nondescript warehouse in a light industrial neighborhood, it is small but welcoming. TVs with sports. No food is served on premises but there might be be a food truck parked in the driveway.
I was fortunate to have visited on a Monday "industry night" and enjoyed some samples.

Newish brewpub in Honolulu close by several others. Nondescript, there is no "Howzit Brewing" sign outside that I saw. Excellent vibe, however, and I talked with the owner about beer. Currently, they only serve draft, but he is looking for a canning line... Seek it out - it is worth a visit!

While I did not try it, there is a food truck emplaced outside the brewpub.

 

I visited Howzit Brewing on 5/26/2024.
V - It was the middle of the day during the week, so it was pretty quiet.
Q - We only had 2 beers but they were very good.
S - The bartender was very attentive to us and was very friendly with all of the customers.
S - When we visited, they had 10 beers on tap. They offered a nice selection of styles.
Overall I think they have a ton of potential. I’m pretty sure the brewery just opened at the end of last year. I tried the West Coast IPA and my wife had the Pilsner. Both were very good. I wish I could have tried more of their beers, but time was limited.
