L: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had a dark brown color and a murky, thick texture. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Below average lacing.

S: A good aroma of fruit, Belgian yeast, hops, and some spices.

T: Tasted of a bit of apples, some hops (mostly in the finish), a good shot of Belgian yeast, light malt notes, some spices, and a little bit of malt. Surprisingly, the booze is barely noticeable, given the high ABV%. A pretty solid flavor that's mostly well balanced. Nothing exceptional, but likable.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a vibrant finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is one of those beers that is well made, but never separates itself from others of the style. Still, worth a look.

330ml bottle contract brewed in Belgium by de Rocs (hence, my purchase) with U.S. and New Zealand hops and seeds of paradise from the Ivory Coast for La Perle (France).

Pours medium amber with a massive and durable bone-colored head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing.

Aroma: somewhat complex, with some fruit, a good bit of dark bread, and faint spices.

Flavor: complex and dynamic. Very sweet mid-taste, but some dark malts and hops kick in by the finish to save it from being cloying. A bit boozy, but not bad for 13% ABV.

O: interesting strong beer.
