This is the beer to ring in spring, traditionally brewed in the middle of winter to be enjoyed during the first nice days of the year or during false spring in the northern states. There are a multitude of bock beers out on the market, our take falls in line with the dark bocks. Similar to Oktoberfest beers in the fall, this one is designed for a party. The recipe was created to be enjoyed as is or poked with a red-hot iron from a roaring fire. The poking caramelizes the remaining sugars in the beer creating new flavors and imparting a creamy texture as it disrupts the carbonation of the beer.
Dark brown with an off-white head, medium to full bodied with loads of toasty bread and caramel notes.
