From the bottle, it pours a clear yellow color with a nice white head that slowly reduces to a thin layer. Light scent of grain and a touch of citrus. Lacing. Mouth gets a nice lightly bitter brew with a touch of citrus.

Very carbonated, has a hoppy bite. Had on tap in Heidelberg. Really enjoyable but not the best beer I had in Germany.

After spending a month in Germany and trying over a dozen Pilsners from Frankfurt to Berlin, I found Heidelberger to be my favourite. I had it on tap in Heidelberg which helped.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear light straw body.
The aroma is mild grain.
The taste is mild grain and lemon.
The texture is medium body.
It's easy drinking.

30 cL at the Pinte Bar in the Marriott Heidelberg on 6/18/11. Served in a pilsener glass.
Golden and clear with a great bleached white head but no lace. The amount carbonation provides a light to medium prickle. Dry lightly toasted biscuit flavor up front with a bitter sensation and touch of yeast in the middle and finish. The bitter finish is long but subdued. Pilseners are not my preferred style of beer, but I could certainly have more than one of these.

Enjoyed this brew out on Hauptrasse in Heidelberg.
I've been procrastinating on trying this beer, I'm glad I finally did. The 12oz serving came out with a good finger and a half thick of bright white head. The body was ultra clear and a nice golden color.
Aromas were on par with the style of mild lemon zest, light toasted breads, and fresh cut hay.
The taste shared pretty much the same characteristics as the aroma.
This is a very clean and crisp pilsner, and Heidelberger got it down to the gnat's ass detail on this brew.
