A nice bitter from the southern most brewery in the world. Poured from a 500 ml bottle into a flute glass, this beer featured a clear copper color and a medium sized foamy white head. Head retention was good and there was some patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste included lots of bready malt, a smoky, peat aspect (especially in the first couple of sips), and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel was fairly rich for a light beer and the bitterness and smokiness blended in well.
