Appearance: Pours a clear, medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 12. (3.75)
Aroma: Mild aromas of orange citrus and rich and toasty malt profile underneath. (4.25)
Flavor: Mild flavors of orange citrus and hops upfront. This follows into a strong toasty and bready malt profile. Finishes with a smooth breadiness and pleasant honey on the end. (4.25)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth and very soft on the palate like bready malts. (4.00)
Compared to Surly's Oktoberfest 9/17/21: Pours an identical color. Similar aromas. More orange hops and toasty/bready malts. Less honey and lemonflower. Slightly more dark and toasty. More similar than I thought though.
Compared to Sierra Nevada's Oktoberfest 9/28/21: Similar aromas. Similar orange aromas. Slightly more herbal. Less soapy pine. Similarly toasty, but less richcaramel and sweet.
Overall: This was a better Oktoberfest/Marzen than I was expecting. It has nice orange hops with a toasty/bready malt profile. It has a large and smooth bready body. I foudn that it drank quite nice. A good American Marzen with orange hops and authentic toasty malt flavors. Surprisingly impressed by this one... Maybe one of the best of 2021... (Final Rating: 4.20)

This beer is wrecked by the buttery/butterscotch notes which I think are coming from the yeast they use. it's the same flavor their milk stout has (it kind of works ok in that one). In this one you can taste the toasted maltiness trying to show itself but the yeasts buttery notes just overwhelm. It looks good. Burnt orange...pretty clear and clean on the appearance. It's drinkable but not a clean tasting ofest.

Poured a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Nice uniform coppery amber color. Has the Carmel and malt taste of an Octoberfest marzen, but lighter in flavor and a different after taste -- almost a slight buttery flavor that quickly disappears with the carbonation leaving nothing for my senses. A good marzen but not in my top 10. Will happily give another try.

Poured 12oz bottle into Weizen glass. Looks like a Marzen with clear copper color and 2 finger foamy white head. Fades into a collar and leaves webbed lacing on my glass. Aroma is lighter Vienna malts with some nuttiness, hints of toffee, and a bit of spicy hops. Flavor is similar to Vienna Lager, which keeps this on the lighter side. A nice clean flavor of malts and hops with a crisp pleasant finish. Decent beer that isn't too sweet.

Lederhosen Lager pours a bronze color with a very little head. There are crisp fruity malt flavors. The taste is crisp, light malts, apple notes, with a buttery aftertaste. Good body, nice flavors, and great aftertaste. Overall it has some nice strong flavors, great tastes, a very good Marzen.
