On tap at Del's Bar.
Served up in a pint glass. Dark amber colored beer, but no head whatsoever. Uh, okay.
The smell is lightly sweet, but that's about it. Really nothing there.
The taste is extremely watered down and messy. Some mild earthy hops with cheap grain taste and a sweetness that is light and reminds me of corn syrup. Where the hell is the flavor???
This has the body of a BMC Light beer, but keep in mind it's supposed to be a barleywine.
Such a sad beer in any category let alone a barleywine. I am not sure why they think this product is okay to sell to the general public? A first time homebrewer can crank out a beer better than this one, so avoid it at all costs in my opinion.

On tap at Dexter's Pub. Burnt copper color translucent. Sweet sherry nose with some drier grape skin tannins. For the level of alcohol, there is hardly any hotness at all and a bizarrely watery and light body for a barleywine. The body could be really use some more heft. The flavor echoes the nose's sherry sweetness with caramel malt to back it up.
Needs some fine tuning IMHO. Has an eerie weightlessness to it, that needs to be fixed. Could also stand some more hops, as I could hardly detect any at all.
