A Viking's word is his bond. No Viking takes any oath lightly, but only bravest will swear an oath of allegiance by the name of the highest of the Norse gods, Odin. An Odin's Oath is an utterly unbreakable pact. To do so would bring shame upon your entire bloodline and the wrath of Odin will be upon you and all your descendants until the end of time.
Because of this, Vikings go to great extremes to keep their oath to Odin. For Odin's wrath comes swiftly upon those who beak their vows. Odin's Oathkeeper, the spear Gungnir, knows its path. When thrown by Odin, this mighty weapon will seek out and strike down the "Oath Deceiver" and returns to the powerful hand of Odin.
A Viking Must Remain:
Right and True When
Swearing an Oath to the Mighty God Odin,
Fierce and Courageous When
Battling Demons of Fear,
Wise and Honorable When
Dealing with Thy Enemies,
Dignified and Humble When
Venerated in His Victory.
Odin's Oathkeeper is a Black IPA made with roasted wheat, dark malts and Wisconsin hops from the Wisconsin Hop Exchange Co-op. It pours pitch black with a thick dark mocha head. Nice rich dark flavors and an amazing dry finish of roasted malts and hops. It is a very well balanced beer.

L - Very dark brown. Thin light brown head, somewhat persistent.
S - Getting mostly medium roasted malts - chocolate and a little coffee.
T - More of the hops bitterness comes through in the taste. Still pretty malty, but temped by some resiny hops bitterness. Coffee, pine or resin.
F - Medium.
O - Less hoppy than some might expect based on the style. I'm not so much a hophead, so the flavorful balance works for me.

Style: Roasted Wheat Black India Pale Ale, Body: Heavy. Color: Black, Alcohol Content: 7%
IBU: 90
Tested from a 32oz crowler bought at the Growler Guys-Eau Claire
Impressive pour, massive thick fine foamy head, head last a long time leaving thick lacing.
no light gets thru the pint glass, pours like a stout, looks like a stout
smells good, smell like a IPA, with a hint of roasted malt
taste is stout and IPA hybrid, Smooth and balanced roasted malts and somewhat floral hop flavor , hints of citrus and pine. A little dry chocolate on the finish.
nice beer i wish I would have bought another crowler. 4.18/5

This beer pours pitch black, with a brown 1 finger frothy head. The head retention is quite good, and there's some lacing on the glass.
Then nose is interesting. It has a citrus hop aroma mixed with a licorice aroma.
Taste - Is a dark roasted malty flavor, with a hop finish.
The body is quite decent. The hop feel does linger for a bit in my throat.
This is a solid dark IPA. Quite deep and rich, and complex.
