Tall, dark and toasty, Trellis brewers set their sights on Munich and their famed fall festbier.
Simply named Trellis Oktoberfest comes with a deep and amber-brown color with near bright clarity and lining the rim with a sparse froth. As the bubbles settle, there's a bold and toasty scent of deeply caramelized sugars, slightly burnt bread crust and slight floral hints of hops. Leading with malt flavors, a richer toast character carries into mild coffee and cocoa character with a caramelized taste of amber ale. Sweet with honey-like grain character, the lager finishes with elevated hop spice and a sweeter aftertaste.
Trellis' version is a slightly amped up toasty and hoppy version of Munich's finest, settling on a somewhat flat and under carbonated mouthfeel.
