From Rottenberg...seems to be a fairly unknown beer, considering the number of previous reviews! Lion on the label, roaring. Kind of a cool design. Unpasteurized, great!
Very pale colour, and lots of quite smooth foamy head. Sweet malty, spongey aroma, with some subtle hops.
Quite a unique flavour. Sweet like honey, balanced with some fairly subtle hops. Because it is unpasteurized, there are some interesting subtle funky flavours happening. I usually prefer more hoppy, bitter pilsners and IPA's, however this still works well with only minimal hops. The honey malt flavour, and unpasteurized yeast funkiness, with the subtle hoppiness...creates a pleasant mouth feel and it's very easy to drink fast...I have pretty much finished the bottle already while writing this review. I don't love it, but as a unique and fairly complex Helles, it is definitely pretty great.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
