With a hint of pineapple, our sour beer delivers a tantalizing blend of tart, tangy flavors and juicy tropical notes, resulting in a zesty and fruity experience.

Soko Bag Korean Fried Chicken & Beer "Soko Bag's Sour Jawn"

Notes via stream of consciousness: All of the Soko Bag beers are brewed by Animated Brewing in Coatesville, PA. This one's a lightly hazy golden beneath a finger's width of bright white foam. There's not much to the aroma beyond some malt and a light touch of mineral quality. The flavor is surprisingly clean and fruity with some hoppiness. I'm getting tangerine, apple, apricot, and pineapple. It's interesting and refreshing. It's not too tart which is nice, and the fact that it's not fruited is a pleasant change of pace. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp but with an added zing from the acidity. The head held up well at first, which is nice, but it didn't leave any lacing - and that's OK because that's what you generally get with a sour beer, particularly one that's not fruited as there aren't a lot of extra sugars involved. I really like this beer and I'm not a super sour beer fan.
