This was an impulse buy Christmas gift based on the Christmas Vacation theme. Expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. Copper orange in color with good clarity. Poured with a short, bright white foam with good retention. Medium over-ripe grapefruit aroma with medium malt aroma. Medium bodied with a smooth, creamy feel and medium light carbonation. Pleasant, boozy warming sensation from the middle to the end. Medium high ripe grapefruit flavor followed by medium high, but mellow, hop bitterness. Medium malt flavors from the middle to the end. Finishes with lingering grapefruit hop bitterness and a boozy heat. Alcoholic finish is a touch on the hot side. Malt aromas and flavors balance nicely with hop intensity. Boozy finish knocks this generally mellow DIPA down a few points.

Not bad for what may appear as a gimmicky holiday ale.

Citrus on the front end with a nice malt finish. At 8.0%, the alcohol is not overpowering... subtle but still present.

Definitely worth checking out. Enjoyed it!

Bomber bottle w/o any sort of dating info

Pours lightly hazed tyypical almond amber, fluffy khaki cap, stays a while then leaves better then decent thick sheeting and strands of lacing.

Nose is nicely hopped up

This is a well hopped, solidly crafted and quite enjoyable DIPA. Smoothly citric and fairly bitter. Worth a try
