Medium-bodied with an appealing amber hue, this is the First Ale of the Republic. Its organic pale, Munich, and crystal malts create a gentle sweet character that is difficult to resist. From organic Hallertauer hops come a zesty flavor and aroma that beautifully balance Organic Amber's malt profile. The result: Truly delicious ale that salutes organic farmers and all the goodness they bring to our tables. 22 IBUs

Can from Boise co-op. Clear, bright amber pour, small tight off white head. Sweet malty aroma gets a bit medicinal in taste. Caramel and butterscotch, cough drops. A bit astringent too

12 oz. can:
Pours slightly hazed red-tinted amber. creamy head thins and lasts. Plenty of lacing sticks.
The smell is of caramel, honey, lightly toasted earthy notes.
The taste is of caramel sweetness with a tea-like bitter balance in the finish.
It has a very smooth light to medium body.
A nice, balanced, basic American Red Ale.
