Word is that a local homebrewer named Reister collaborated to produce this pilsner. It's a bit clouded for a lager, in a shade of sunny yellow. The flavor is lemony with ideal carbonation -- perhaps from a nucleated glass. A faint, grainy aroma pokes through with some timidity. A slight flush of sweetness emerges followed by a bland finish that lingers too heavily and too long.
Less clean and pronounced than one might hope, and it doesn't belong on the same menu as Leavenworth's Friesian.
