Poured from a growler into a weizen glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a three finger white head that dissipates to a thick cap with great lacing. Aroma of wheat malt, lemon, clove and a little graham cracker and a hint of mineral. Flavor is wheat malt, lemon, clove and over-ripe banana. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very nice domestic hefe that hits the style flavors well; great wheat flavor, a little citrus, and light clove and banana; slightly sweet in the finish, which I enjoyed. Of the three local hefeweizens I've had this week, this was the closest to a German one. The malt depth was a bit subdued, the the flavor was fine from start to finish. Nicely done.
