Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can.
Appearance: hazy medium-yellow hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: it's maybe a little light, but otherwise a good combination of sweetish malt, mango, and grapefruit peel aromas. I rather like it!
Taste: the taste doesn't quite live up to the promise of the aroma. The flavors start off okay, but there's a rather musty, dusty kind of finish to them, that I'm not as much of a fan of. Bitterness is maybe a little high, but for a pale ale, it's acceptable.
Mouthfeel: medium body wtih a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: yeah, that hop aftertaste is just not wonderful. This beer is so close to being good, but just doesn't work for me.
