JULY 2024.
It's a 6.5% Hazy IPA hopped with Ekuanot, Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7.
Brewed at the Birrificio STI MALTI (Caserta) in collaboration with Resaka Brewing Tribe (another beer firm -gipsy brewery- in Rome).
On the nose aromas of summer fruit: especially peach and plums (summer plums), also tropical fruit.
Poured it's a fairly cloudy blond (hazy), tending towards orange.
In the mouth, a medium-bodied beer, with a light veiled sensation that almost acts as a filter between the fragrant and invasive fruity flavors and the finish in which instead (finally) the right space is left for a nice citrus bitterness that does not remain indifferent on the tongue, leaving the fruity taste in the palate.
I mainly find the taste of peach (white pulp and yellow pulp), plums and in the background always sweet and tropical notes including a hint of coconut, as well as mango and papaya.
The fruity taste is followed by an almost absorbent sensation of the fruity taste which however is followed by a very noticeable citrus bitterness of grapefruit/orange peel with also a hint of herbaceousness which, in my opinion, makes the drink more complete. And also different, given the many proposals of many craft breweries that in this style of beer (and not only) focus everything on the aroma (fruity taste) followed by a sensation of silkiness that minimizes the contribution of hops in terms of bitterness.
Balanced beer and not as banal to drink as average, given the invasion of standard products in this style, although that silky and veiled sensation seemed to me almost like the sensation of suspension when you are reading a book and then, once the page is finished, you have to turn it and a new one begins: from the extremely fruity taste, after an almost neutral pause to be felt, you move on to the bitter pungent finish that certainly remains as the most evident taste note, even after drinking.
