On-tap, fresh. It has a yellow color, slightly hazy, with an average white foam.
In the smell there is some malt, then yeast, and some bread-crust.
A good bitterness in the mouth, and in the aftertaste, too.
It is a pleasant, drinkable, well balanced beer.

Poured from the tap to a krug the liquid is light and cloudy with lots of carbonation. The head is tall and billowy like a fluffy cloud that fades slowly and leaves some nice lace.

The smell is sweet and grainy.

The taste is sweet grainy with a light hoppy finish. A slightly citrus taste over lost of white bread crust.

The mouthfeel is good, in fact better tat one would expect from the style, quite chewy even though the body is thin.

The drinkability is very good I really wanted more.

Welde Bräu Zwickel is a great looking zwickel. It came out to me from the tap with a good two finger thick bright white head, which was very tight and creamy looking. The body is of course hazy, and slightly golden peach in color.

The aromas are a little weak, but I detect a light straw/hay fragrance.

The taste is lightly biscuit with a light cracker type of character.

This feels coarse, powdery, and overall dry, as is expected with the yeast that is left behind.

Overall this is probably about the best zwickel/keller bier I've ever had, and it's only available at the actual Welde brewery.
