Weldebräu "Welde Bräu Schwarze Womme"
€3,40/,3L @ Bier Brezel, Heidelburg, DE on 22.09.21
Look: Clear mahogany brown with orange highlights beneath a standard-sized head of khaki colored foam. Excellent head retention with solid walls of lace that have thicker rings embedded within where each sip was taken.
Smell: Grainy/cereal-like malt and roasted grain.
Taste: As the aroma suggests with added dark caramel and coffee-candy. A median bitterness balances it and leads to a short lingering dry finish with fading roastiness.
Feel: Medium bodied and gently crisp with a moderate carbonation level.

It has a quite light brownish color, a bit light for a schwatrz beer.
A not too beautiful foam.
Roast in the smell, with some coffe in the back.
In the mouth, again roast, and maltiness.
The body is quite thin.
Not an extraordinary beer, but drinkable.

half liter on tap poured into a tall mug in heidelberg, germany. pours dark caramel brown with fiery amber highlights. a single finger of light brown head top it off, which remains throughout consumption (about 20 minutes).
aroma is of roasted malts, with notes of chocolate and caramel. overall the aroma is restrained, yet still holds a decent complexity and solid character.
taste is of subtle caramel malts and a bit of chocolate malts as well, with roasted malts forming a base. the brew finishes with caramel malts and a subtle roasted character.
mouthfeel is creamy with a light to medium body. finishes on a creamy note with wonderful residual slickness.
drinkability is excellent. supremely drinkable with a great profile. prost!
