We got this in the can to take away at Amber Bar in Shymkent because they did not have it on tap at the time. Very dark brow, almost black, tan head shrinking to thin top. Aroma brown sauce and brown bread plus toastiness. Taste has same elements. Balanced. Some sweetness with hint of vinegary quality and a light but balancing spicy bitterness.
Overall, thus is very good. Mostly like a full-bodied English Brown Ale. Although the lower ABV is getting low enough almost to be like a Dark Mild, it is in character and feel too full-bodied really to be a mild and is definitely on par with a proper brown ale, even a porter. It is not truly outstanding , but it is very good, and has lots of character.
