Bierhaus Maisschäler "Krampus Winter Warmer Ale"

Look: A clear dark brown, almost black body is capped by a short head of tan foam that dissipates rapidly. Limited lacing.
Smell: Clean. Dark malts with some light chocolate. No noticeable hops, which is fine.
Taste: Malty with notes of sweet and lightly toasty bread, cocoa powder, medium to medium-dark caramel, milk chocolate, and a touch of roastiness. Moderately bitter but still mainly dry in the finish with the roastiness rising and lingering.
Feel: Medium-full in body and gently crisp.
Overall: Richly flavored, nicely balanced, and well rounded.
