I'm not quite sure which style this chestnut beer should be classified under, but I listed it as Bock. Feel free to submit a change if you disagree. ABV is also unknown, but I assume somewhere around 5-6%. Another nice seasonal beer from Schmidt had on tap at Hesseneck. This one seemed a little bit milder and more subdued than other Schmidt offerings, less malty and biscuity but still quite enjoyable. It has a slightly darker, chestnut hue than the Helles, smells less yeasty, has a mild nutty taste, and a relatively light mouthfeel to go along with it. Certainly worth a try if you can find it, which is not easy to do unless you're in Frankfurt at the right time of year.
