Brewed in loving memory of a best friend and furry family member.
A complex English Barleywine boasting smokey caramel notes, toffee, tobacco, and fruity notes of dates and prunes.
A Limited amount available as the rest has been laid to rest in a freshly dumped Blanton's Bourbon barrel.
I hope to only honor how much every moment meant with you as my best friend, I love you Jane.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a nice dark brown with a bit of light brown head. The nose is really interesting and not a typical English barleywine. Apricot, plum, oak, slight toffee, banana, oatmeal cookie, and fresh bread.
The taste is really enjoyable. Quite similar to the nose. Definitely a mix of sweet and bitter. Very slight citrus peel, some burnt toffee, plums, raisins, figs, leather, slight brown sugar, biscuits, and graham crackers. Not overly sweet at all. This seems like a perfect candidate for barrel aging.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a mix of sweet toffee and bitter citrus on the aftertaste. Quite a long finish. Dry. Overall, a great beer.
