New Zealand Pilsner - is that closer to Czech or German…I do not know…. I did search and saw both suggestions of twist on German and Czech pils. Single 16 ounce can, packaged June 2, 2025.
Pours a slightly less than clear, chill hazed pale golden yellow with near two fingers of puffy white head - laces very nicely.
Nose of citrus - orange, lemon - gooseberries, pineapple with an herbal spiciness; floral notes on a white bready malt base.
Slightly sweet bready malt on the palate with citrus, slightly tropical and floral flavours and a soft herbal bitterness.
Light medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation that fades a bit by the finish with a crisp, dry end. A nice take on a Pilsner, though I may prefer the traditional German and Czech varieties more.
