This hefe has incredible balance. It pours out to a pale yellow-gold in the glass with a decent head. Aroma is that of bananas and light yeast. The taste is very good with bananan and clove present but not overdone. A solidly drinkable version of the style.

Like Rochester Mills and Royal Oak, I think the Weizen is one of their better brews. Smallish head. Hazed yellow-ish color. Delicate, with a potent aroma of syrupy banana sweetness and cloves, this is a very true-to-form Bavarian hefe. Absolutely a prime quaffer. A little thin and watery, but all the traditional, beloved flavors are there. Moderately phenolic, the cloves assert themselves a bit more than, say, lemon. Not noteworthy, but certainly praiseworthy.
