When I had this beer it was categorized as a saison on the menu. The review is based on the saison style. From notes:
On tap at the brewery, poured into a pint glass.
A- A cloudy golden body was capped by a thin head that left good stick on the glass. (3.5)
S- Spice, funk, and a sugary sweetness. Good stuff for a saison. (4)
T- Spicy and lemony with leafy, organic hops. (4)
M- Moderate body with a creamy quality. (3.5)
O- It was a refreshing, easy drinker. Similar to New Holland's saison. A nice accompaniment to a meal with friends before a hockey game. (4)

This beer was kinda tough to categorize a light brown or dark English mild, poured a lighter brown with a thin wispy white head, aromas were not overly strong but nothing on this beer was overly strong wich is fine for what it was, anyways light chocolate and nuttiness show thru.Flavors were softly malty lightly sweet chocolate and earthy nut in the finish.A beer made for the Detroit Tiger baseball season I picked brown ale with its chocolate and earthy notes, very drinkable.
