This one arrived at my seat with a fine, light brown cap, mostly a collar with a skim of bubbles atop the black beer. Good head retention with a little sticky lace on the glass. The aroma was fairly mild, more toffee sweetness than roast, and it was a bit hoppy, but not at all powerful. Bitterness was adequate, solid but not punchy, with malt sweetness in the fore. There was a lot of bittersweet chocolate and dry cocoa, plus some malted milk and dry roast, along with a hint of green hop leaf and grass. Full bodied with lowish carbonation. It was quite smooth, but had a bit of a rough malty dryness and slight astringency. Overall, pretty good.
