served in a pint glass.
dark brown in color with a 1 finger tan head. leaves lots of chunky lace in the glass.
nose of peat, dark chocolate and piney hops.
tastes of big burnt malt flavors. earthy and smoky with a slight sourness and a bitter, piney finish. not bad, but seems to to be an odd combination of flavors.
medium bodied with decent amount of carbonation.
goes down pretty easy, but not quite sessionable. not a bad beer, but not one that i particularly enjoyed. worth trying i guess, but i won't be having this again.
