At the farmhouse/brewery/tap room, pours a shiny black that glimmers a little plum purple at the edges in the light. Nose is warm and malty/bready with a little smoke and some dark fruit. Tasting, you get everything in the nose and it is juicier, including the plum and raisins, but also a little tobacco. No hoppy bite, it is fairly watery. Solid, but not quite as good as the other beers I tried here, most of which were quite good.
