Light mahogany color with no head to speak of, but a fine ring of beige foam outlines the rim of the glass. Nose is strong, and full of sweet malt and hops. Flavor is strong sweet malt right upfront, with a bit of hop in the finish. Sweetness of the malt is too much, and overpowers the palate. Medium carbonation, with smooth mouthfeel and just a bit of carb tingle in the finish. Lingering aftertaste morphs a bit into cocoa and vanilla, but the beer is too cold to let too much more of this come out.
