No head at any point during this tragedy of a beer. Consequently no lace or retention. Nice dark amber color though. Smells of toasted malt with marmalade sweetness. No English hops for miles. Taste is lightly toasted malt with a roasted chocolate malt dollop in back and similarly devoid of any hop character. Boo hiss. The complete and utter watery blandness of this beer is as offensive as any off flavor that could have ever been presented. Blah.

Served on-tap at the waterfall bar near Tuscany at Mohegan Sun.
A: Poured a reddish amber with some mahogany highlights and a thin layer of white carbonation which faded to nothing within a minute.
S: Smells slightly sweet, with fruity notes and an underlying roasted malt bitterness.
T: Taste is fairly thin and watery, with a slight malt bitterness enhanced with a little bit of grapefruit-flavored hops in the finish. Not a very strong tasting ale, and the wrong kind of bitter for an ESB, as it seems to be from a fruit derivative.
M: Mouthfeel is pretty thin and watery, though the mild fruity malt flavors become a little cloying.
D: Interesting and drinkable until the kitschy appeal wears off; then you're left with 3/4 of a pint of fairly watery, semisweet beer.
Not a very strong option, even if the other taps are lackluster. I thought Mohegan Sun cut a contract deal with AB or something, but apparently they brew this on premises. That's a shame.
