Hand pulled pint at the opening event of the refurbished ‘Elephant and Castle’ Dawley, Shropshire on 21st April 2012.
First brewed in 2011 for the Rugby 6 Nations, re-brewed for 2012's comp too. An off-white head sat on top of a clear dull golden body: the aroma was of biscuit maltiness with some dried fruit added.
Taste-wise it followed the smells, semi-sweet biscuit feel with again some fruitiness in the flavours, a slight hop bitter finish balanced the sweetness nicely and I enjoyed my pint immensely.
