November 2013: Cask half pint at JDW Victoria Station, London. ABV was 4.3%. Deep golden colour, low white head. Moderate citrussy aroma. Pleasant lemony and zesty flavour, refreshing, with decent NZ hops throughout. A beer I could drink a lot of.

Pint serving from JDW.
A: Golden, hazy, one finger head, lots of lacing.
S: Citrus hop, grapefruit.
T: Yeast, grapefruit, berries, rye, slightly milky.
M: Light body, soft to medium carbonation.
O: Had a nice balance, good depth, sessionable but more of a summer beer.

Hand-pulled pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington on 2nd Aug 2013. I'm not a fan of citrusy golden ales so wasn't going to try this because of the name: however the bar staff (who know me) gave me a sample and said it wasn't as lemony as the pumpclip suggests.
I was pleasantly surprised by it's un-lemon-ness and ordered the pint.
Light amber in colour with a full white head that gave some good lacing.
The aroma was biscuit malts with a floral hop note.
The taste followed the trend of light malts and fragrant hops, delicate flavours really, nothing heavy or too strong. Body depth was fine for the alcohol strength and the beer is nicely balanced, if a little lacking in true bitterness or rich flavours.
An OK pint for the hot weather we are having at the moment, but not something I'd seek out.
