The very first beer made by Exmoor Ales which famously, with just its 13th brew, won National Gold Award for Best Bitter in the CAMRA Great British Beer Festival in 1980.
It is a pale brown beer, the colour of maple syrup, dry malty taste with a bitter finish. It is the classic very drinkable session beer of the Southwest.
After 40 years, and after popular demand, now available in bottle. Brewed at 4.0%, just slightly more than the 3.8% draught cask ale to ensure full flavour in the bottle. Enjoy!

500ml brown glass bottle. 4% ABV.
L: Clear, copper colour with clouds of bubbles rising to one finger of long-lasting, off-white head.
S: Nothing.
T: Stewed tea. Moderate bitterness.
F: Flat, thin, almost watery.
O: Looks good but lacks flavour and has a disappointing mouthfeel. Probably better on cask than in bottle.
