Cask pulled. Mid to dark amber. Thick creamy head.
Malty and hoppy aroma. Caramel and hedgerow fruits.
A nicely balanced taste of the above. Light to moderate bitter finish.
Great conditioning. Feels smooth and fresh.
A lovely traditional EB.

Tasted this beer by half-pint at Red Lion pub, Isleworth, London during its mini-beerfest. yesterday.
A: poured straight from cask by gravity, it comes with a tawny colour and little beer head; carbonation is low, almost non-existent.
S: profoundly dark-malty with perhaps crystal malts, with lovely smell of mild caramel, peach juice, etc... overall the nose is pleasantly malty but not overdone.
T: juicy, smooth flow of maltiness comes in... with faintly fruity flavour of banana and red grapes, roasted nuts & chestnut, a bit of savoury flavour and light coffeeish taste; the finish has more roasted nut flavour lingering towards the end.
M: rounded and soft mouthfeel, with a refreshing nutty flavour and its slightly sour kick on top of a savoury touch.
D: lovely beer, with so much flavour packed together in this small beer. Quite moreish and tasty; strongly recommended.
P.S. I just learned that this beer was awarded Silver in the Best Bitter category at GBBF 05. Well done!

This bitter poured a slightly hazy, deep amber color with white foam that persisted. The smell was mildly malty with a touch of bitter hops and a faint hint of sulfur. The taste was slightly sweet and malty with mild bitter hoppiness. The mouthfeel was dry and mildly chalky with medium body and low carbonation. This was a pleasant, easy-drinking pint
