This was another beer that I picked up at the Total Wine in Vero Beach, Florida late last year. This looked like Florida, tasted like it, and had to be one of the quintessential brews from the Sunshine State that I've been able to get my hands on.
Quite a dark pour to this as this was chestnut in hue with tons of big. bubbly head topping it off. That took a while to settle as some of the tan suds never fully dissipated. Hints of droopy rings stuck around along the top half of my pint glass with this seeming quite lively throughout my session. That was repeated in the nose as there was a ton of citrus pith, apple, and dank pine with all of those melding nicely in the taste. Caramel, honey sweetness, and dank hops emerged as this warmed up with this beer ending up being beautifully complex, a bit spicy, and quite strong in the back.
Amarillo and Chinook-like earthy hops dominated in the back as this was quite heavy-handed for a brew from these parts. Couldn't detect the alcohol overtly but it, along with some deep lime pith, was certainly present by the time I finished this off. Dated 8/23 of last year on the bottom of the can, this had hints of cane sugar in the back along with some tingly mint and moss that left me wanting more. Loved this beer from start to finish as it was among the best that Florida has to offer!

Fort Myers Brewing Co. "Double Wide Trailer"
$7 / 10 oz. on tap @ The Sunny Pint, Wildwood, FL
It's a hazy deep copper beneath a short head of antique-white foam. The aroma is malty and caramelish with leafy, piney, and herbal hops. The tastes adds citrusy and apple-like notes into the mix. The alcohol is very well cloaked for being 8% ABV. It's smooth but also solidly bitter and then dry in the finish. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. Nicely done.
