Risk Management DIPA is brewed with 100% locally-grown and malted Rabbit Hill Farms Pilsner, Chillum, Wheat, and Oat malts, decoction mashed, hopped with Bru-1, Citra, and Citra Dynaboost on the hot side, and with a hefty dose of Bru-1 Cryo, Citra, and Citra Cryo on the dry hop. With a balanced, soft finish and an assertive hop presence, Risk Management is what makes it so risky.

Poured from 12 oz. can into a shaker glass. It pours a hazy, dirty orange color with a large, creamy, bright white head and thick, soapy lacing. The smell blends lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, and wheat cracker. Although the can is several months old, the pineapple taste from the bru-1 hops has held up quite well and balances the tart citrus. It has a solid malt/oat base that adds some additional creamy sweetness. This ale is well-bodied and the 8.2% ABV provides good substance. Overall, Risk Management is a well-conceived and brewed DIPA. I would like to drink it fresher and hope to do so when Wander Back's taproom in Vineland opens.
