Nice indoor and outdoor bars for drinking or tasting. Great selection included some unusual beers. Friendly staff.

 

Super fun place and great outdoor patio to hang out in nicer weather. Upstairs nook is also cozy and comfortable.

Their beers are always on the okay side. Good to average in my opinion. Maybe a few decent IPAs but I’ve never had a beer that I’ve been dying to have a second time. Still, I come back for the staff and the atmosphere.

Their annual releases are always an experiment that never really clicks for me either.
Their Thomas Tew rum is fantastic, though.

Went for my b day. Great service and good vibes. Server was friendly and attentive. Sat upstairs, got to view the tanks and barrels. Brewery had TVs which is a plus in my book. Would definitely go back.

 

An impressive new facility in a decent location. Bright, modern, and clean. Inside is a bit fancier than expected, in a good way, compared to the back outdoor patio and lounge area, which is really nice in its own right. Just a good vibe all around and good folk working there. On a warm day, the outdoor bar and cornhole can’t be beat. Selection is solid, as they’ve updated their beer offerings to keep up with the hazy IPA trend. They could use some food trucks or something to eat, especially on the weekends, as they only sell beverages.

Definately a place to stop if you’re in Newport area and looking for a beer venue. Cool atmosphere, good service, and the beer is very good in the New England style.

 

 

There is a small taproom and retail store at the brewery. You pay to taste 4 beers (out of maybe 8? to choose from), and get to keep the glass. They also distill rum so you can do that too. the beers I tried were okay to good, picked up some bottles to take home.

Gret crew and super friendly, knowledgable. Beer was above average. It the vibe was really nice and fun.

 

 

If you are in Newport, RI, visit the little brewery. The brewery lies right outside Naval Station Newport. Many of the local bars and restaurants have Newport Storm on tap! The Naval Station Package store has a great selection of their beer and rum for sale. Grab some.

 

 

Nice little taproom sectioned off from the brewery with a bottle shop/ merch section right inside the entry way and a small rectangular tasting bar that seats about a dozen behind it. A small window by the bar overlooks the brewhouse and adds to the pleasant atmosphere, although they seem oriented towards tasting and than to go sales, ergo not a hangout. 8 to 10 beers on tap, the 2 I had were very nice. They also made a variety of distilled spirits, although I did not try any of those. Friendly, knowledgeable service.
