Pours deep black with a short brown foam.
Aroma of dark chocolate and an herbal element that may be hops.
Taste is a mellowed Russian Imperial Stout, a tart hop note, a little oak, short bourbon perceived on dry finish.
Fulll mouthfeel, low-medium carbonation.
Overall, barreling did this beer no real favors., the RIS truth would have been bolder and let the base brew shine. Organic ingredients is commendable, though.
